Intermediate Laboratory Technician

Join EXP as an Intermediate Laboratory Technician in Burnaby, BC or Calgary, AB. This role focuses on laboratory tests, report preparation, and working within a collaborative engineering team.

As part of the Materials Testing group at EXP, you will conduct essential tests such as Marshall and Superpave, ensuring quality control in asphalt. Your expertise in Microsoft Office will aid in preparing comprehensive reports. Additionally, you will maintain laboratory equipment and frequently engage with materials engineers to support project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Marshall and Superpave tests in the Asphalt Laboratory

• Prepare detailed reports from laboratory results

• Maintain all laboratory equipment in optimal condition

• Interact routinely with Materials and Geotechnical Engineers

• Operate computerized testing equipment for accurate results

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of asphalt testing experience

• Valid CCIL Certification is an asset

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

• Strong focus on Health and Safety protocols

• Enrollment in a Civil Engineering Technology program is a plus
