Advance your career at BC Hydro as a Senior Environmental Coordinator located in Edmonds, BC. This position combines hybrid work flexibility with archaeological project leadership.
As a vital member of the Archaeology/Heritage team, you will lead efforts in archaeological resource management and impact assessments for various projects. Responsibilities include planning, regulatory compliance, and developing industry standards in collaboration with First Nations and key stakeholders. Utilize your advanced communication skills to present and negotiate on heritage issues in public settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage province-wide archaeological compliance programs
• Oversee fieldwork contracts and quality assurance
• Coordinate multi-party technical working groups
• Develop archaeological and heritage management plans
• Engage with stakeholders and address regulatory concerns
Requirements:
• Relevant university degree in Archaeology or Anthropology
• 8+ years in progressively responsible roles
• Registered Consulting Archaeologist (RPCA) or eligibility for registration
• Strong communications and organizational skills
• In-depth knowledge of cultural heritage issues
