Student Assistant in Biology Research

Support environmental microbiology at Douglas College as a Student Research Assistant. Gain hands-on experience while preparing materials and maintaining cultures in the lab.

This role offers a unique opportunity for students passionate about Biology. As a Student Research Assistant, you will work closely with faculty on environmental microbiology research projects, including preparing essential materials and maintaining cultures. Candidates with second-year Biology coursework and microbiology experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing laboratory materials and solutions

• Maintain cultures necessary for research experiments

Requirements:

• Enrollment in second-year Biology courses at Douglas College

• Completion of microbiology coursework preferred

• Valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) required

• Up to 4 hours/week work commitment required
