As an Experimental Physicist II, you'll be an essential part of D-Wave's Processor Development team, utilizing your expertise in quantum computing and superconducting devices. The role requires designing experiments to assess fluxonium qubit performance, along with collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance device design. Candidates should be able to demonstrate significant technical knowledge and a passion for deep research.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct experiments to evaluate superconducting qubits’ performance
• Diagnose noise issues and optimize device scaling
• Validate high-fidelity gates and error correction techniques
• Partner with designers on simulations and performance criteria
• Regularly document and present your research to the team
Requirements:
• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in quantum-related experimental science
• Strong understanding of qubit control methodologies
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience in software for experimental automation
• Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced field
