Support applied research at Langara College in Vancouver through web development, data analysis, and community engagement activities. This casual position offers variable weekday hours.
As a Junior Research Assistant, you will work under faculty-researcher supervision at Langara’s Applied Research Centre. The work involves collecting research data, using Vercel, conducting quantitative analysis, and engaging community groups. You will support focus groups, interviews, reports, and presentations while maintaining accurate records and safe practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather routine data as directed by research supervisors
- Collect experimental data and software performance information
- Compile findings for reports and presentations
- Operate scientific equipment, software, and survey tools
- Assist students with assigned data gathering activities
- At least one year of related post-secondary studies
- Experience with web development using Vercel
- Experience conducting quantitative data analysis
- Community engagement experience with groups and participants
- Proficiency with MS Office, email, and web browsers
