Position: Temporary Second in Command (2IC Full Time (Public Safety)
Commissionaires BC is currently looking for an experienced second in command to work Temporary Full Time at a Government of Canada Public Safety site.
Rotation:
Monday - Friday, 1430 - 2230 (
End Date: April 19, 2026)
Payrate: $28.50/hour
Some of your responsibilities include:
Support with all clerical and administrative requirements for the SiteLiaise regularly with the client and/or other applicable staff to ensure site operations remain currentAssist/support site supervisor with site shift schedulingEnsure that all applicable reports, operational reports and time sheets are submitted in a timely fashionEnsure that the Site Risk Assessments and Site Safety Check Lists are current and amendments forwarded to Commissionaires BC accordinglyEnsure that the Site Post Orders are current at all times and that all site Commissionaires have read the Post Orders and any related amendmentsEnsure that the standard of dress and deportment is professional at all timesOversee the training of new commissionairesDocument and/or refer all discipline and counseling matters to the Operations managerProvide accident reporting and investigation results to Commissionaires BCLiaise between site commissionaires and head OfficeProvide the appropriate support and leadership to site commissionairesCovering for site supervisor in times of absenceLiaise with the Security Company for emergency problems regarding the Security SystemMaintain the security system fault log for all non-emergency problems and ensures technician address the problemsYour must haves:
At least 3 years’ previous supervisory experienceAt least 3 years’ security experienceValid BC Security License and OFA 1Top Secret clearanceExcellent customer service and conflict resolution skillsAbility to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional mannerAbility to work independently and make sound decisions under pressurePhysically fit, including the ability to stand or walk for extended periodsFluent English written, verbal and reading skills.
