Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Shift: Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1600
Pay Rate: $45/hour
Position Overview:
Allied Universal is seeking an experienced and results‑driven Security Account Manager – Commercial to lead security operations at a major industrial facility in Vancouver, British Columbia. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily site operations, managing and developing security personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional client service while meeting financial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day‑to‑day security operations of an assigned client site.
- Manage a team of security officers, site and/or shift supervisors including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support.
- Ensure the client site is provided with high‑quality security services to protect people and property.
- Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees.
- Coordinate necessary support services to manage the client site to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service.
- Provide support to the Security team on all HSE matters, including but not limited to investigations of injury/illness, completion of learning from incident packages, and promoting the safety culture throughout the security organization.
- Develop and implement security policies, programmes and contingency plans to minimise security risks within the facility.
- Host security awareness training sessions, investigate site incidents.
- Conduct mid‑year and end‑year evaluations for all security team professionals.
- Provide security‑related emergency response services and coordinate activities in the event of a site‑wide emergency.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Alberta Security Worker License.
- Post‑secondary education in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid security license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of security managerial experience.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Proven experience in hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining quality team members.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with security systems and technologies is beneficial.
- Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
