Position: Full-Time Campus Security Officer SFU
Join Simon Fraser University as a full-time Campus Security Officer and contribute to a safe environment at the Burnaby campus. Your patrols and community engagement will be vital in ensuring student and staff safety.

In this engaging role, you will perform security duties such as regular patrolling, emergency response, and first aid provision. A key aspect of the position is effective communication with dispatch and supervisors while maintaining visibility and attention to surroundings. Work with a team that values respect and service excellence from Sunday to Wednesday overnight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol interior and exterior areas of the campus

• Act promptly in emergencies and incidents

• Maintain detailed logs of activities and observations

• Inspect safety equipment for functionality

• Lock and unlock doors per campus operations

Requirements:

• Legal ability to work in Canada

• Current BC Security Worker’s License

• Intermediate Occupational First Aid Certificate

• Basic Security Training Certificate

• safeTALK Suicide Prevention Certificate is an asset
