As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activityRespond quickly to incidents or potential threatsDocument observed events and incidents, writing detailed reportsConduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premisesControl access to secure areas and check visitor identificationAnalyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctionsWork with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergenciesCommunication with customers, contractors etc.Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard
Be legally authorized to work in CanadaHold a valid BC security worker licenseStandard First aid certification (OFA1 / OFA - level
C) or higher - mandatory requirementStrong communication in English, interpersonal and report writing skillsGood eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focusStrong proficiency with technologyExcellent customer service skillsAbility to stand and walk throughout the shiftThis could be more than a job!
