Become an integral Equipment Custodian for the Burnaby RCMP Detachment’s Community Safety Department. This position focuses on ensuring police equipment readiness and effective management.
In this role, you will be responsible for tracking, receiving, and issuing police equipment, including weapons. You will conduct inspections for quality control, handle minor repairs, and ensure all equipment remains operational. Additionally, preparing comprehensive equipment kits for members and maintaining accurate records is essential for effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track and manage all police equipment and arms
• Inspect equipment regularly for functional integrity
• Execute minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Requisition repairs or replacements for malfunctioning items
• Maintain thorough records, files, and reports
Requirements:
• High school diploma with relevant courses preferred
• Knowledge of police equipment and safety protocols
• Proficient in data management software
• Ability to lift heavy items and withstand physical demands
• Valid BC Driver’s Licence and security clearance requirements
