Position: Security Operations Manager at Douglas College

Lead the security operations at Douglas College as the Manager of Campus Security. This role focuses on strategic oversight of electronic security systems and campus safety initiatives across multiple locations.

The Manager will oversee all security operations for Douglas College, ensuring a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in electronic security technologies and incident response. You will translate industry best practices into practical solutions while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead security operations and management of security systems

• Oversee crime prevention initiatives across college campuses

• Ensure compliance with legislation and security standards

• Conduct security risk assessments and implement improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience

• 7-10 years in physical and electronic security management

• 5-7 years supervising staff and contractors

• Experience in complex multi-site environments preferred

• Certifications like CPP or PSP are advantageous
