Campus Safety Dispatcher at SFU

This permanent full-time position requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure scenarios. You will respond to urgent calls, manage multiple requests, and coordinate with campus security, police, and medical services. Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergencies and non-emergency calls

• Dispatch appropriate responders quickly and accurately

• Document critical details and prepare reports

• Operate communication and dispatch systems efficiently

• Assist students and visitors with inquiries and directions

Requirements:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Typing speed of 45–50 wpm (test required)

• Valid Occupational First Aid and BC Security License

• Empathy in managing emotional calls

• Familiarity with SFU Burnaby Campus
