The Equipment and Yard Business Group is presently looking for applicants with RED Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic certification with intermediate level experience of heavy equipment maintenance. Preference will be given to those who have experience working on conventional cranes and Cat dozers. 3rd/4th Yr apprentices may be considered based on type of equipment experience.

Our mechanics work in our Yard and provide field service support for projects around the Greater Vancouver Area. Occasionally they are required to travel outside of the Greater Vancouver Area in support of remote work sites. We support our projects beyond normal working hours and weekends, when required.

Top Union wages plus an additional 12% for holidays and statutory holidays, a comprehensive benefit and pension plan. Hours per year average between 1,800 to 2,400, depending on overtime requirements.

This is a union position, and hiring will be done in cooperation with the Operating Engineers 115 Hiring Hall. These positions are located in New Westminster, BC and available to qualified individuals in the Greater Vancouver area or willing to relocate here. Current rate: $55.69/ hour.
