Position: Employment Specialist with posAbilities - Full-Time

Join pos Abilities as an Employment Specialist, helping individuals with disabilities find fulfilling jobs in Vancouver and New Westminster. This full-time position is centered on community involvement and personal empowerment.

As part of the Employment Services team, you will assess client skills, facilitate job readiness preparation, and conduct community outreach. Your flexible schedule will involve some travel throughout the Lower Mainland to connect with participants and employers. This role is ideal for someone passionate about advocating for the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine employment readiness

• Assist clients in job search strategies and interview skills

• Coordinate job placements and oversee transition processes

• Organize and facilitate career development workshops

• Engage with community partners and employers

Requirements:

• Diploma in relevant field or university degree

• 3+ years experience supporting individuals with disabilities

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Valid BC driver’s license and reliable vehicle

• Emergency First Aid and CPR certification needed
