Position: Case Worker at The Salvation Army
Location: New Westminster

Support individuals in need with The Salvation Army as a Temporary Case Worker in New Westminster, BC. Build relationships, offer advocacy, and aid in positive lifestyle changes.

This full-time role involves working Monday to Friday from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM. You will collaborate with clients at Stevenson House, helping them assess needs and develop essential skills. The position requires both direct support and advocacy for unsheltered individuals while promoting healthy engagement in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision and support for clients at the shelter

• Build meaningful relationships and assist with case planning

• Maintain accurate records using BC Housing database HIFIS

• Engage with homeless individuals to stabilize their lives

• Encourage clients in developing new skills and lifestyle changes

Requirements:

• High School Completion or Social Services Diploma

• At least one year frontline social service experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and record keeping

• Willingness to undergo background checks

• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs
