Youth Support Worker

Position: Youth Employment Support Worker Role
Location: New Westminster

Support young adults in navigating employment challenges as an Employment Outreach & Support Worker with Aunt Leah's. Empower participants through personalized coaching, workshops, and community connections.

This part-time temporary position focuses on helping youth build skills and confidence needed for meaningful work. You will provide individualized coaching on résumés, interviews, and job readiness while connecting participants to invaluable resources in education and training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish trauma-informed relationships to enhance readiness

• Offer one-on-one coaching for career exploration

• Facilitate mock interviews and readiness workshops

• Assess skills and obstacles faced by participants

• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Social Sciences or related fields

• At least 1 year of relevant experience

• Completion of Criminal Record Checks

• First Aid Level C with CPR certification required

• Commitment to ongoing professional development in crisis intervention
