Position: Support Worker for Tenants at Lookout Society

Become a vital part of Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Support Worker for Tenants in New Westminster, BC. This rewarding role is focused on assisting adults in securing independence and managing daily challenges.

The Tenant Support Worker reports to the Site Manager and undertakes essential tasks to empower individuals living in supportive housing. You will provide education, skills training, and crisis intervention, while also working on service plans to meet their unique needs. Days and hours of work are flexible, with shifts available throughout the week, including nights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in tenant intakes and support assessments

• Identify and develop tailored service solutions

• Offer crisis management and supervise medication administration

• Keep detailed records and statistical data

• Foster engagement with volunteers and students

Requirements:

• Diploma in Community Social Service preferred

• Two years' related experience necessary

• Clear Criminal Record for Vulnerable Sector

• Class 5 BC Driver's License as required

• First Aid Certificate OFA 1 is mandatory
