Residential Support Worker Casual Position

Location: New Westminster

Join Lookout Housing and Health Society in New Westminster, BC, as a Residential Support Worker focused on empowering vulnerable adults. Gain hands-on experience providing vital support and training.

In this casual role, as a Residential Support Worker, you will engage closely with residents to help them achieve independence. Your duties will include identifying tenant challenges, creating service plans, and ensuring that basic needs are met. Collaboration with volunteers and adherence to health standards is vital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify challenges and develop individualized support plans

• Help administer medication and manage tenant finances

• Engage with tenants on ongoing support

• Assist in training volunteers or practicum students

• Maintain health and safety protocols and records

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience

• Diploma in Community Social Service

• First Aid Certification (OFA
1)

• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector

• Valid BC Driver’s Licence if required
