Position: Family Support Worker with Trauma Focus

Join Aunt Leah's Thresholds Program as a Family Support Worker, making impactful connections with mothers and their children facing vulnerable times. This full-time role emphasizes trauma-informed care in a supportive environment.

As a Family Support Worker, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the well-being of families at risk of homelessness and separation. Engaging closely with participants, you will enhance their life skills, foster independence, and support healthy relationships. Your work will guide mothers through their challenges, building a safe community for both moms and children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct one-on-one support to participants

• Aid in parenting skills and financial literacy development

• Participate in crisis response training when needed

• Facilitate a clean and safe living environment

• Document and track participant progress accurately

Requirements:

• Relevant diploma in a social services field

• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience required

• Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sectors

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Flexibility to work various schedules, including on-call
