Position: Outreach Support Worker for Indigenous Clients
Location: New Westminster

Join Fraser Health as an Outreach Support Worker, dedicated to assisting Indigenous clients facing homelessness and health challenges. This role emphasizes community support and culturally-safe practices.

In this position, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides outreach services to clients in need. Your focus will be on facilitating access to resources, delivering life skills training, and offering emotional and social support tailored to clients' unique circumstances. This role requires a compassionate approach and a deep understanding of Indigenous cultural perspectives on health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote access to Indigenous cultural services.

• Monitor and assess client behavior and needs.

• Encourage independence in clients and their families.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress.

• Assist clients with daily life and social skills development.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Community Social Services or related field.

• Two years of relevant experience in mental health/substance use.

• CPR certification and Food Safe certification.

• Class 5 BC Driver’s License with vehicle access.

• Strong understanding of Indigenous cultural contexts.
