Location: New Westminster
Empower individuals facing challenges with Lookout Housing and Health Society as a part-time Outreach Worker in New Westminster, BC. Provide support, advocacy, and assistance to clients every Thursday to Saturday.
As a part-time Outreach Worker, you will directly report to the Designated Manager and align your work with Lookout's mission. This role entails leveraging crisis intervention skills and networking clients with essential services. You are instrumental in aiding those struggling with stable housing, addictions, and mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients in establishing stable, independent living situations
• Develop flexible plans of action for client issues
• Network clients with necessary services for basic needs
• Provide crisis intervention and manage finances as needed
• Maintain accurate records and statistical data
Requirements:
• Related diploma or minimum Grade 12 plus two years of experience
• Strong knowledge of community resources
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean abstract
• Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
