Join Pacific Coast Children's Resources as a Child Youth Worker, providing essential support and care to youth in your community.
Your role will empower young individuals to lead independent lives.
As a Child Youth Worker, you will work closely with children living in staffed homes, fostering their personal growth and community integration. Your natural caregiving abilities, coupled with knowledge in harm reduction and recovery-oriented care, will be vital in advocating for youth rights and implementing personal service plans, ensuring a safe environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:
• Empower youth to participate fully in their communities
• Collaborate on developing personal services plans
• Assist with daily living and medication duties
• Maintain and document daily health records
• Ensure home cleanliness and food preparation
Requirements:
• Minimum 2+ years in community youth services
• Valid Child and Youth Care Diploma
• Training in behavior management techniques
• Strong communication skills with families and peers
• Criminal record clearance and class 5 driver's license
