Position: Youth Employment Outreach Support Worker
Location: New Westminster

Impact the lives of youth with Aunt Leah’s as a Youth Employment Outreach Support Worker. This part-time temporary role focuses on skill-building and career development for young adults.

As part of Aunt Leah’s Employment Program, you will offer crucial support for young individuals facing employment barriers.

Your role involves coaching participants through the employment readiness process, facilitating workshops, and connecting them to valuable training resources. You will also provide ongoing support and guidance as they work toward achieving their career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster trusting, supportive relationships with youth participants

• Develop individualized coaching plans and action steps

• Facilitate workshops covering résumé writing and interview skills

• Guide participants in identifying career aspirations and barriers

• Track participant progress and document important metrics

Requirements:

• A year of experience in youth engagement or employment support

• Relevant post-secondary education or a combination of education and experience

• Completion of a Criminal Record Check prior to hire

• First Aid Level C certification or willingness to obtain

• Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills
