Become an Outreach Worker with Lookout Housing and Health Society in New Westminster, BC, providing essential support to vulnerable adults. Engage Thursday to Saturday and help change lives.

Reporting to the Designated Manager, this part-time role emphasizes your skills in crisis intervention and advocacy. You will assist clients who are facing complex challenges related to housing and mental health, empowering them to regain stability. Connect clients to necessary services while ensuring their basic needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aid clients in establishing independent living situations

• Assess problems and create adaptable action plans

• Network to provide essential community services

• Deliver crisis intervention and handle financial assistance

• Maintain records of client progress and services

Requirements:

• Related Diploma or Grade 12 plus two years relevant experience

• Expertise in community resources for mental health and addiction

• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certification required

• Must hold a Class 5 Driver’s License and have a clean record

• Criminal Record Clearance for vulnerable populations necessary
