Social Worker (BSW) - Casual Role

Location: New Westminster

In this Casual Social Worker position, you will report clinically to the Chief of Social Work, delivering essential clinical and consultative services. Key Responsibilities:

• Assess coping abilities and needs of patients and families

• Deliver counseling regarding treatment objectives and concerns

• Consult on community resources for discharge planning

• Provide training and presentations to staff

• Contribute to research and data collection for program improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Social Work degree required

• One year of relevant clinical experience needed

• Current full registration with BC College of Social Workers

• Knowledge of psycho-social issues within healthcare

• Strong organizational and teamwork abilities
