Position: Home Support Worker for Youth CVS
Empower youth with developmental disabilities as a Home Support Worker at Community Ventures Society in Burnaby. This part-time position focuses on nurturing independence and facilitating weekend evening activities.

As a Home Support Worker, you will work directly with youth in their homes.

Your role includes teaching life skills, engaging in community-based activities, and assisting with activities such as cooking and homework. This position is crucial in helping youth lead meaningful lives and develop their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support youth in completing daily home tasks

• Facilitate life skills and community engagement

• Assist in planning social events

• Teach self-sufficiency through practical assistance

• Build respectful relationships with individuals served

Requirements:

• Background working with youth or children

• Class 5 driver’s license and personal vehicle

• Current First Aid certification needed

• Clear driving and criminal record

• Eagerness to learn about positive behavior supports
