The Burnaby School District is seeking a professional committed to advancing substance misuse prevention within its educational framework.
Your role will encompass creating and facilitating programs that support student health, alongside training staff to better assist youth facing substance use challenges. As a liaison, you will connect schools with necessary community resources to improve student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate expertise in harm reduction and addictions
• Lead the design and evaluation of prevention programming
• Collect data to assess individual and community needs
• Facilitate partnerships with service providers and agencies
• Monitor and report on program effectiveness
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Three years of related professional experience
• Deep understanding of community resources and interventions
• B.C. Driver’s License (Class
5) necessary
Contribute to the health and resilience of students by fostering supportive relationships and effective programs in Burnaby's schools.
