Position: Software Developer )
Clio is hiring a Software Developer for our Burnaby Hub. The role follows a hybrid model, requiring office presence at least twice per week on designated Anchor Days.
Responsibilities   Collaborate with a team of full‑stack developers to solve complex problems and deliver elegant solutions to Clio customers.
Participate in an agile environment and work across multiple engineering teams in three countries.
Review and provide constructive feedback on peer code, both within the local team and across Clio.
Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high‑quality code.
Engage in database optimization, large‑scale system design, and performance tuning.
Apply new technologies and tools rapidly to meet evolving product needs.
Use AI tools to improve development practices and deliver higher‑quality software.
Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience building scalable web applications, preferably with Ruby on Rails.
Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Experience in large‑scale SaaS products and distributed team environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with teammates and customers.
Demonstrated mentorship ability and success in an agile process.
Curiosity, willingness to learn new technologies, and a drive to solve root causes.
Working language proficiency in English.
Compensation: $110,200–$149,000 CAD based on skill and experience.
