Senior Backend Engineer

Position: Senior Backend Engineer at PosiTrace
Elevate your engineering career with Posi Trace as a Senior Backend Engineer in Burnaby, BC. Focus on .NET8 and Python to drive the evolution of our GPS fleet tracking platform.

In this full-time, on-site role at Posi Trace, you will co-own the migration towards MACH architecture. As a senior backend engineer, you will design microservice boundaries, develop APIs, and optimize MySQL queries. You’ll also work on core platform systems responsible for GPS telemetry ingestion and overall fleet management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain backend services in .NET8 and Python

• Design microservices and API contracts for system decomposition

• Optimize MySQL queries for high-volume workloads

• Deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure cohesive technical direction

Requirements:

• Strong experience with .NET8 and Python backend services

• Proficient in MySQL and performance optimization

• Familiarity with Rabbit

MQ and async task processing

• Ability in writing technical documentation

• Excellent communication skills in English
