Position: Senior Software Engineer for Transfer Systems
Be a technical leader at Remitly as a Staff Software Engineer focusing on Core Transfer Experience. You will drive innovation in cross-border transfers while working in a hybrid environment from Burnaby.

In this impactful role, you’ll oversee the architecture and daily operations of Remitly’s transfer platform, significantly enhancing how customers manage their money across borders. Your expertise will ensure the collaboration between product, engineering, and design while mentoring the engineering team to achieve excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define technical vision for transfer systems

• Lead end-to-end customer experience initiatives

• Engage with code, conduct reviews, and provide insights

• Mentor and guide engineering talents on best practices

• Enhance system performance and reliability metrics

Requirements:

• 10+ years software engineering experience, including senior roles

• Strong background in distributed systems and architecture

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go or Kotlin

• Experience in operational excellence and fail-safes

• Knowledge of AI applications in software engineering
