Fortinet has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Dev Ops Developer to join our Dev Ops team. This is a great opportunity for candidates passionate about building automation frameworks and full-stack internal tooling that empower engineering teams across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain internal web-based systems and dashboards with both frontend and backend componentsBuild and integrate automation workflows via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Lab CI) and RESTful APIsDesign and implement automated testing frameworks and end-to-end test pipelines using tools such as Behave, Selenium, and PytestWrite robust Python scripts and services to automate repetitive processes, data collection, and reportingCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify manual workflows and translate them into scalable automated solutionsCreate and maintain documentation for automation frameworks, APIs, and internal systemsJob Experience Required
5+ years of practical experience in Dev Ops or Software Development rolesStrong proficiency in Python, including automation, scripting, backend service development, and object-oriented designHands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Behave (BDD), Selenium, or PytestExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs and web servicesSolid experience with CI/CD platforms, particularly Jenkins and Git Lab CI/CDExperience with configuration management tools, particularly AnsibleFamiliarity with containerization technologies (Docker)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailTeam player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsBonus Experience
Experience designing or building internal developer tooling, or code review workflowsExperience with Linux VM provisioning, including network configuration and file system managementFull-stack development experience: backend (Flask or FastAPI preferred) and frontend (HTML/CSS/JavaScript or frameworks such as React/Vue)Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration (Ubuntu preferred)Familiarity with SSL/TLS and certificate managementEducational Requirement
A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related fieldThe Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $130,000 - $150,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.
Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
