Experienced Firmware Development Engineer

Microchip Technology seeks an experienced Firmware Development Engineer to drive innovation in PCI Express products. This role emphasizes collaboration, design excellence, and continuous improvement.

In this position, you’ll focus on firmware design and unit testing within an agile team  will analyze requirements and mentor junior engineers while developing robust solutions for our industry-leading Switchtec™ SoC products. Your expertise in embedded systems and C programming will be vital for high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop firmware and drivers for SoC products

• Lead architectural reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Validate and integrate firmware solutions, resolving issues proactively

• Create technical documentation for engineering and customers

• Guide and mentor junior firmware engineers through best practices

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering

• Minimum of 15 years in Embedded Software development

• Strong skills in C and assembly language programming

• Deep understanding of SoC and multi-threading firmware

• Excellent analytical, research, and communication abilities
