Backend Developer for SaaS GPS Platform

Become a pivotal Backend Developer at Posi Trace in Burnaby, BC, contributing to our innovative GPS fleet tracking platform. Focus on .NET 8 and Python technologies to enhance service capabilities.

This role emphasizes hands-on development within a full-time, on-site environment. You will lead the architectural transition toward microservices while harnessing your skills in creating and maintaining robust backend systems that handle large-scale data effectively. Your experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous processing will be crucial as you collaborate with the Rails and Dev Ops teams to streamline processes and enhance the user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain backend systems using .NET 8 / C# and Python

• Design and implement microservice architectures

• Write production-quality, test-driven code

• Document architecture and processes in Confluence

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project goals

Requirements:

• Proven experience with .NET 8 / C# and Python frameworks

• Expertise in MySQL with experience in high-load systems

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes deployment

• Familiarity with message brokers like RabbitMQ

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
