Position: Lane Closure Technician (LCT)

Job Summary

Allteck is currently seeking a Lane Closure Technician (LCT) in Lower Mainland, BC

Must join the IBEW Local 258 Union

Wage Range $25.98 – $32.35 per hour, plus benefits

Location:

Burnaby, BC

Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe and courteous movement of vehicles and personnel

Setting-up traffic control zones

Controlling traffic in construction zones

Adjusting work zone equipment

Responding to emergency situations and hazards

Knowledge and understanding of Traffic Management Plans and the Traffic Control Manual for Work on Roadways as developed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure

Knowledge of the requirements of the British Columbia Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations related to traffic control

Working and coordinating with other Traffic Control Persons (TCP’s) onsite

Skills & Abilities

Ability to set up lanes that flow and provide safety to customers and team members

Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to work under pressure while remaining professional

A positive attitude and willingness to work as a part of a team

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

A safety conscious demeanor and willingness to adhere to company safety policies, practices, and procedures

Education, Training & Experience

Valid BCCSA Traffic Control Person (TCP) Ticket

Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence in Good Standing Preferred, Class 7 Considered

One-year previous experience as a Traffic Control Person (TCP)

Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test as a pre-employment requirement
