Seasonal, Full-time and Part-time hours available.
This role works shiftwork, on weekdays, weekends, and holidays to support our daily operations.
Full Time

Schedule:

32.5 hours per week - Friday to Tuesday at 6:30 AM - 1:30 PM
Part Time

Schedule:

26 hours per week - Thursdays 6:30 AM - 1:00 PM;
Friday to Monday at 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Wages: $22.00 per hour + 4% vacation pay

At Big Bus Tours Vancouver Westcoast Sightseeing, we are hiring Dispatch Coordinators to support our Guided Tour Operations. You will plan, prepare, and coordinate daily sightseeing tours by assigning buses, supporting Drivers and Guides, and monitoring seat capacity and on-road activity. You’ll communicate constantly over radio, phone, and Microsoft Teams while working closely with operations, reservations, mechanics, and cleaning teams to keep tours on schedule and running smoothly.

Strong attention to detail, quick problem solving, and a calm, solutions-focused attitude are essential in this fast-paced environment.

YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE
  • Planning, executing and coordinating the daily operations of our vehicles, Driver Guides, Shuttle Drivers, and Meet + Greet teams
  • Preparing Driver Guides for daily tour assignments including attraction vouchers, tour manifests, vehicle allocations, itinerary changes, hotel allocations, ferry cards and specific guest requirements
  • Monitoring and communicating tour changes, traffic & ferry delays, city events, and attraction closures to the team to ensure the guest experience is well managed
  • Communicating clearly and effectively over radios, phone, text, and chats
  • Assigning guest pickups based on hotel location and efficient routing for the next day’s tours
  • Mitigating operational issues with a guest focus (vehicle breakdowns, ferry cancelations, etc)
  • Forecasting resource and fleet assignments for future tours
  • Communicating challenges effectively with Drivers & Step on Guides and Managers as needed
  • Completing daily operations reports
  • Organizing and conducting tasks to ensure safe, consistent and timely performance
  • Supporting Driver & Step on Guides to ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Anticipating guests’ needs, with a keen eye to enhance guest experience
  • Dispatching day-to-day charter delivery requirements

  • Prior dispatch, guide, or transportation experience (bonus if at a bus or sightseeing company!)
  • You can reliably get to the office on time – having a vehicle is ideal
