As a Track Maintenance Trainee, you will report to the Manager of Track Maintenance.
Your role encompasses a variety of tasks, including manual labor such as tie replacement and track inspection, alongside operating essential machinery. A valid driver’s license and a mechanical background are preferred, making this an ideal opportunity for those passionate about railway operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform tie replacement and brush cutting tasks
• Operate track machinery and tools as needed
• Communicate via radio with team members
• Maintain rail switches and inspect tracks
• Drive company vehicles and ensure safety protocols
Requirements:
• Minimum grade 12 diploma or GED equivalent
• Track Inspection Geometry Certificate preferred
• Experience with railway maintenance equipment preferred
• Mechanical ability and problem-solving skills
• Valid BC driver’s license required
