Shipper​/Invoicer

We are seeking one full‑time and one part‑time Shipper + Invoicer for a 6‑month contract at our Burnaby location, part of the Purity Life Grocery division.

The Shipper + Invoicer is responsible for ensuring that all outgoing orders leave the warehouse efficiently, timely, and professionally, providing excellent customer service and problem‑solving to ensure accurate shipment.

Shipping

• Work with the shipping team to ensure accurate shipping of all outgoing orders, ship‑outs, and pick‑ups.
• Establish daily shipping priorities and schedule pick‑up times with carrier companies via email and phone.
• Communicate daily with drivers regarding any overlap or switching of orders and prepare or adjust appropriate paperwork.
• Optimize the use of the ship‑out area to maximize workflow and space organization.
• Maintain a day‑to‑day overview of cargo in the shipping area and notify Customer Care or Shift Supervisor of uncertainties.
• Ensure all pieces of an order are included, the piece count is verified, and orders are secure for shipping; notify the appropriate person if issues arise.
• Be familiar with shipping companies and personnel and convey pertinent information to the workgroup.
• Use pallet mover and other equipment to load commercial carrier trucks and consolidate orders from the dry, cooler, and freezer zones.
• Assist in expediting any "add‑ons" to orders that are ready to go that day.

Invoicing

• Use warehouse software to select orders, print shipping labels, complete invoicing, and print other required paperwork.
• Ensure all paperwork is accurate, legible, signed correctly, and updated if new invoices are added; investigate discrepancies and deliver final paperwork to Customer Care.
• Remain familiar with shipping schedule and daily priorities for outgoing orders.
• Keep accurate records of daily outbound shipments as specified by Warehouse Leadership.

Returns

• Verify that returned items are authorized by Claims.
• Complete paperwork and notify Stocker for restocking.

Other Duties

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized ship‑out area with clearly visible orders.
• Provide input and suggestions for shipping improvements or problem resolution.
• Perform general warehouse duties as directed by Warehouse Leadership.

• Knowledge of basic procedures and protocols in warehouse operations: order entry, picking, invoicing, freight consolidation, shipping, deliveries.
• Familiarity with loading ramps, equipment operation.
• Experience operating forklift or pallet mover.
• At least one year of experience in a similar shipping role.
• Clear, friendly, professional communication skills in person, phone, and email.
• Strong paper documentation skills and accurate counting.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and stay organized.
• Comfortable troubleshooting on the spot.
• Good technical literacy and ability to learn new software.
• Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs; must combine sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and driving machinery.

• Full‑time schedule:
  Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2 pm; 6‑month contract.
• Part‑time schedule:
  Saturday, Sunday and Stats, 9 am‑5 pm; 6‑month contract.
• Starting rate is $24.02 per hour; shifts longer than five hours receive a 30‑minute paid meal break.
