Qualifications Required
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or willingness to complete it
Experience Required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within the last 5 years in a role relevant to children's residential care
  • At least 1 year's experience supervising and managing staff within a care setting
  • Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding and child protection procedures
The Home

Our client is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an established children's residential home in the rural setting of East Huntspill, Highbridge.

You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring children receive high-quality, individualised care while maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, compliance and regulatory practice. You will also develop and inspire a committed staff team, creating a reflective, supportive and child-focused culture.

The home benefits from ongoing support from an experienced Responsible Individual and Head of Care, providing regular guidance, leadership and operational support.

Our client is seeking an experienced, resilient and values-led Registered Manager who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people.

You will be committed to ensuring children's voices are heard, promoting positive outcomes and creating a nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

You will also have:

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • A positive, non-judgemental approach
  • Strong organisational and compliance knowledge
  • A full manual UK driving licence
  • Access to your own vehicle with business insurance
  • Ability to undertake on-call duties (currently averaging around two per month)

  • Occupation bonus of £175 per child after the first child (up to £350 per month in a fully occupied 3-bed home)
