Are you a Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a supply opportunity in Burnham-on-Sea starting ASAP?

Monarch Education is recruiting a confident and reliable Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support a school in Burnham-on-Sea on a supply basis. We are looking for an adaptable HLTA who can support teaching and learning, deliver planned activities, assist with classroom management and help pupils make strong progress during assignments.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality classroom support. You may be required to deliver pre-planned lessons or interventions, support small groups and individual pupils, assist with behaviour management and contribute positively to the wider school team.

• Supporting teaching and learning across the school
• Delivering pre-planned lessons, small group work or intervention sessions where required
• Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils
• Helping to maintain a calm, purposeful and well-managed classroom environment
• Following school policies, curriculum guidance and safeguarding procedures
• Building positive working relationships with pupils and staff
• Supporting pupil progress, confidence and continuity of learning during assignments

• Experienced working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar school support role
• Confident supporting pupils across the classroom
• Able to deliver pre-planned learning activities when required
• Flexible, organised and dependable
• Able to take on supply work in Burnham-on-Sea
• Available to start ASAP
• Strong communicators who can quickly become part of a school team

• Relevant school-based experience
• HLTA status or equivalent experience is desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to complete registration, compliance and safeguarding checks
