This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and helping them overcome barriers to learning. You'll work closely with class teachers and school staff to provide tailored support to pupils who may need additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation, engagement, and social development.

Whether you’re looking for day-to-day supply, short-term placements, or longer-term opportunities, we have roles available to suit your experience and availability.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils who require additional behavioural support.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and engagement in learning.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and encourage their confidence and independence.
• Work closely with class teachers and wider school staff to support individual pupils.
• Implement agreed behaviour strategies and individual support plans.
• Help pupils develop positive social and emotional skills.
• Encourage pupils to participate positively in classroom activities and learning.
• Maintain a calm, safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs is desirable.
• Experience working within a school, childcare, youth work, coaching, tutoring, care, or similar child-focused setting is beneficial.
• A patient, calm, and consistent approach to supporting pupils.
• Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and emotional regulation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and school staff.
• Confident managing challenging situations in a calm and professional manner.
  
  Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to different classroom environments.

• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Connex Education.
