A reputable accountancy firm with multiple offices across the region is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team.
This role will involve a varied mix of accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT work, and client support, offering exposure to a broad portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies across a range of sectors.
The successful candidate will ideally be AAT Level 4 qualified with solid experience gained within an accountancy practice environment, and experience using Xero software and working closely with clients will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities- Support the management of a portfolio of accountancy clients
- Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Maintain bookkeeping records and prepare management accounts
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Support junior members of the team and collaborate across the wider office
- Assist with digital and automation processes across the firm
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines
