An established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Burnley is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join its growing Business Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to join a supportive and forward-thinking firm with an excellent reputation for staff development, client service and work-life balance.
You’ll work with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and entrepreneurial clients across a range of industries, gaining exposure to both accounts preparation and client advisory work.
As an Accounts Senior, you’ll manage your own portfolio of clients while working closely with Managers and Partners to deliver a high-quality service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Preparing management accounts for a range of clients.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting clients with VAT queries.
- Supporting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software, including Xero, Quick Books and Sage.
- Assisting with tax planning opportunities and general business advice.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or be finalist/qualified by experience.
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio.
- Salary of £33,000 - £40,000, depending on experience.
