Job Description & How to Apply Below
The business has built its reputation on safety, compliance and getting things right first time, so this suits someone who takes ownership seriously and is comfortable being the person clients and site teams come to when something needs sorting.
This is a permanent role based in Burnley, £60,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, plus a car or car allowance and a full benefits package.
About the Business Our client is a specialist M&E contractor delivering electrical, mechanical and building services solutions, along with commercial fit-out projects, across the UK from their Burnley headquarters. Established in the mid-2010s, they have built a nationwide client base through experienced project management and dedicated site delivery teams, working across retail, commercial and industrial sectors.
They hold CHAS, NICEIC and ECA accreditation, and safety and quality sit at the centre of how the business operates rather than as a compliance formality. It is a business that has grown steadily on the strength of long-standing client relationships, built on reliability and doing things properly.
What You'll Be Doing Taking ownership of a portfolio of electrical projects, from award through to completion and handover
Managing site teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to specification, safely, on time and within budget
Overseeing programme and commercial performance across your portfolio, including cost control and variations
Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout delivery, managing expectations and building long-term relationships
Ensuring health, safety and quality standards are maintained across every project in your portfolio
Coordinating resource, labour and materials across concurrent projects
Managing testing, commissioning, handover and close-out, including client sign-off and documentation
Identifying opportunities to grow existing client accounts through consistent, reliable delivery
Working closely with the wider business to ensure consistent standards and a joined-up approach across projects
What We're Looking For A strong electrical contracting background, having managed multiple live projects concurrently
Proven experience running a portfolio, not just single schemes, with commercial and programme ownership
Confident managing site teams and subcontractors, and comfortable holding people to standard
Strong client-facing communication, able to build and maintain long-term relationships
Experience across commercial, retail or industrial electrical installation and fit-out work
Sound knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations
Relevant electrical qualifications; NICEIC or equivalent is an advantage
Full UK driving licence
What's on Offer £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
Car or car allowance
Full company benefits package
Ownership of a varied portfolio of projects rather than a single scheme
A business that has grown steadily on the strength of its reputation, with clear opportunity to grow further
