Service Advisor

Our Client, a respected and customer‑focused motor retail group, is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join their busy aftersales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident communicator with strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate you will be the key link between customers and the workshop, ensuring every visitor receives a professional, efficient and friendly experience. You will manage service bookings, provide accurate updates, and support the team to ensure all work is completed on time and to the highest standard.
 
* Greeting customers and managing service enquiries
 
* Booking vehicles in for service, repair and MOT
 
* Providing clear explanations of work required and associated costs
 
* Liaising with technicians to monitor progress and update customers
 
* Preparing invoices and processing payments
 
* Upselling additional products and services where appropriate
 
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company processes
 
* Delivering a consistently high level of customer satisfaction
As a successful candidate previous experience in a Service Advisor within motor retail or similar customer‑facing automotive role is essential with strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
Confidence in explaining technical information in a customer‑friendly way, a positive, proactive and professional approach and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Experience using DMS systems (e.g., Kerridge/Autoline) would be desirable.
