We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly skilled Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Burnley
. This full-time role begins in April and will run initially for one year
, with the potential for extension.

We are looking for an inspiring educator who can confidently lead a Year 6 class through their final months of primary school, supporting them both academically and emotionally as they prepare for SATs and their transition to secondary education.

• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• Prepare pupils effectively for end-of-key-stage assessments
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and intervention where required
• Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values

We are looking for someone who is:

• A qualified teacher (QTS required)
• Experienced in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
• Confident in planning and delivering SATs preparation
• Committed to raising standards and fostering a love of learning
• Organised, reflective, and proactive in their practice
• Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

• A warm, supportive staff team
• Well-behaved, motivated pupils
• Access to excellent resources and CPD opportunities
• A collaborative and forward-thinking leadership team
