The children, staff and governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated SEND HLTA to join our school. Our inclusive school values all children, including those with SEND, and ensures a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the day‑to‑day organisation and running of the adapted provision, ensuring a structured, purposeful and supportive learning environment.
- Uphold the school’s values and nurturing ethos.
- Develop children with SEND’s learning across the curriculum.
- Build strong relationships with children with SEND, staff and families and work as part of a team.
- Support extra‑curricular activities and school events as required.
- Demonstrate good communication skills.
- Commit to continuous professional development.
Weekly hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (31.5 hours), term‑time only. Position Grade 7 (£32,062 – £36,363). Salary is pro‑rata on a part‑time basis.
- English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent).
- HLTA status.
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Experience of working with children with SEND.
- Knowledge of approaches to support communication, interaction and engagement.
- Experience of working with pupils with EHCPs or highly personalised provision.
