Due to growth in the department, we are seeking a Lecturer in Foundation Programmer to teach effectively on a range of programmes across the Division’s Curriculum.
Responsibilities- Teach effectively across a range of programmes within the College Curriculum, delivering up to 832 hours per year.
- Thoroughly plan and evaluate the effectiveness of your teaching.
- Accurately assess and monitor student work to assure high achievement and progression.
- Provide effective tutorial and pastoral support.
- Contribute fully to college and divisional teams, sharing best practice.
- Be involved in developing the curriculum.
- Hold appropriate Assessor and Verifier qualifications such as A1/V1, or be prepared to gain these within 12 months.
- Knowledge of current issues in Further Education relating to the curriculum area, and specific knowledge of curriculum to support Foundation level students.
- A record of high rates of student retention and achievement, with excellent teaching, communication and administrative skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and delivery of excellent teaching and support.
- Experience of using technology in the classroom.
- A recognised teaching qualification and a degree or equivalent (desirable).
Up to £40,665 per annum.
LocationOn-site delivery.
