A forward-thinking specialist SEN school in Burnley is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced SEN professionals while supporting pupils with a broad range of additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), ADHD, Speech & Communication Difficulties, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Supporting pupils through 1:1 sessions, small-group interventions, and classroom-based learning, you will help children access education, build confidence, and achieve personalised learning outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
