Specialist SEN School – Burnley – Up to £600 per week – Full-Time – September Start

A welcoming specialist SEN school in Burnley is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff, as well as candidates looking to develop long-term careers in SEN Education, Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Social Work, or related fields.
The Role – SEN Teaching AssistantAs an SEN Teaching Assistant
, you will work with pupils with a diverse range of additional needs, potentially including Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, speech and communication difficulties, and SEMH needs
.
You will provide 1:1, small-group, and classroom support
, adapting your approach to the individual strengths and needs of each pupil. Working closely with teachers and specialist support staff, you will use EHCPs to guide your practice, deliver targeted interventions, and help identify and remove barriers to learning.
- Up to £600 per week
- Full-time, long-term SEN Teaching Assistant position

- Specialist SEN training and ongoing CPD
- Supportive and experienced school team
- Valuable experience for careers in psychology, therapy, education, healthcare, or social care
- Previous SEN or school-based experience highly advantageous
- Experience in care, support work, youth work, sports coaching, or mentoring also welcomed
- Psychology graduates and related degree holders encouraged to apply
- Patient, resilient, compassionate, and adaptable
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
