Summary SEND / INCLUSION TEACHING ASSISTANT - INDIVIDUAL / SMALL GROUP SUPPORT AND TO DELIVER INTERVENTIONS

The Governing Board of Ightenhill Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic, child-centred personto join our inclusion / SEND team.

Our inclusion / SEND staff support pupils learning and also support our pupils wider needs in the classroom and beyond.

Our staff are Trauma Informed and the ability to form positive, genuine relationships with pupils is essential in this role.

We recognise the challenges that our school community face and are ambitious for all our pupils to thrive and achieve in school.

Our support staff are key members of our teamthey work with groups of pupils in the classroom, support individual children and deliver interventions.

You will need to be adaptable, patient, empathetic, organised and most importantly possessa positive mindset and be willing to learn and grow with our children.

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

The role is being advertised as a 30hour a week post and includes lunchtime responsibility.

The position is advertised to start in November 2026, but we may beable to start earlier if the successful candidate is available to do so.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

• GCSE Grade 5 or equivalent in Mathematics and English
• TA3 or equivalent qualification.

• Emergency First Aid
• Any other relevant qualifications.

• Relevant experience worked with primary age pupils in a school setting.
• An understanding of the importance of safeguarding in a school setting.

• Experiencing working with children with additional learning, behavioural or emotional needs.
• An understanding of Trauma Informed Practice.
• Delivering specific interventions to support behaviour.
